Ichihara Etsuko dies on the 12th January, aged 82.
Known for her work in such TV Dramas as ‘I saw your household help!’ (Kaseifu wa mita!; 家政婦は見た!), Ichihara Etsuko was a stage and film actress who passed away on 12thJanuary, at 1:31pm from heart failure, in the Tokyo University Hospital. She was 82 years old, and a native of Chiba Prefecture, east of Tokyo.
Her narration of ‘Japan’s Fairy Tales’ was godly.

I knew that she was getting older, but I wanted her to come back to the screen, just one more time. She was a wonderful actress. I’ll never forget her in ‘Japan’s Fairy Tales’. Ichihara-san, you did well.
I always looked forwards to watching ‘I saw your household help!’ and ‘Japan’s Fairy Tales’ hen I was younger. Thank you, I had so much fun watching those shows.

I was surprised when I saw the news.
She was already 82 years old, but I thought she was still living energetically and doing more projects.

It’s such a shame, I guess that you must’ve been busy with work for a long time and now this might be a chance to finally take some time to relax and recuperate after the operation and then be released when you’re all healthy again, so I was waiting for your next project. I love Ichihara-san as a voice actress in ‘Japan’s Fairy Tales’.
